Recanova Backup Automation — Terms of Use

Purpose and permitted users

Recanova Backup Automation is operated by Menjaya Meditech Sdn Bhd as a private administrative utility for encrypted Recanova backup storage and verification. It is available only to authorized operators. These terms concern the backup utility, not clinical services or the wider Recanova HealthOS customer service.

Operators must have authority to handle the source records, administer the backup account and authorize the requested Google access. Do not use this utility with unrelated accounts or unauthorized data.

Operator responsibilities

Operators are responsible for securing the computer and Google account, protecting local plaintext backups and credentials, maintaining separate secure recovery-key copies, monitoring backup failures and storage availability, and applying approved retention and access policies. Never place recovery keys or credentials in the backup upload folder or send them to support.

The current Google permission is account-wide. The utility's configured folder restriction is an application control, not a Google-enforced limit on the authorization. Grant access only after reviewing the privacy policy.

Backup and recovery limits

The uploader depends on an existing completed local backup. Scheduled runs require the computer and appropriate user session to be available, valid authorization, network connectivity and adequate storage. Google access may expire, be revoked or become unavailable.

The utility encrypts files before upload and verifies uploaded ciphertext integrity. These checks do not establish that every source record was captured or that a full restore will succeed. Operators must maintain monitoring and perform separately approved restore exercises. No completed restore exercise or uninterrupted service is promised by these terms.

Loss of all recovery-key copies may make encrypted backups permanently unreadable. Cloud copies do not replace local protection, independent key custody or a recovery plan.

Retention and discontinuation

The current workflow retains local and cloud files without automatic deletion. Authorized operators control retention and must follow applicable recordkeeping obligations. Revoking Google authorization stops future authorized cloud operations; it does not delete previously stored files or local copies. Discontinuing this utility requires a separate decision about retained records and recovery keys.

Third-party services and support

Google Drive and Google Accounts are provided by Google under Google's applicable terms and policies. Their availability, storage limits and security controls also affect this workflow. These terms do not imply endorsement by Google or guarantee any regulatory certification.

Contact tech.recanova@gmail.com for support. Do not send secrets or backup contents. Changes to these terms or material data practices require operator review and appropriate notice before adoption. No subscription fee or service-level commitment is established by these terms. Nothing here is intended to exclude obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
